For this post to make sence I am going to have to tell a real life story about me! Sit tight.

On the xbox I have the orange box which is 5 games on one cd, The main game on the disc is Half Life 2 which is a amazing game (completed it in 7 hours). Now this game has amazing graphics and its has the story of a muti-award winning book. Its a must buy! So last week I went and got myself Half Life 1 which is the start of this amazing story.

Story over, sorta! Half life 1 has some of the worlds worse graphics and effects in a game but its still a amazing game. Which leads me to the web. It does not matter how bad the design is (to a level of acceptance) its what the site is about that will get people coming back.

If you look at sites that are show in css gallery people will visit there site and think “wow this design is sweet” but they are not be hooked. And By hooked I mean check the site every other day to see if there is new content. So if you site has grade A new content every day people who like what you are talking about will visit back again and again, even if you site is a boring design. Remember content is king also in seo.

When I say bad design I mean a site were the design is nothing special, not one were there are popups and adverts and moving text.

I can’t really come to a clean conclusion whether content or design is more important, there sorta hand in hand. Bad content good design or good content and bad design are almost as worse as each other. But Having both means your on a winner.

Im not a troll and I dont seek out to argue with people but your blog is really starting to get on my nerves now. I posted an earlier comment about ‘Users Killing the Internet’ to wish many people agreed with me but this latest post takes the biscuit. You know absolutely nothing about games if you can site there and say “HL1 has some of the worst graphics ever”, because the game is so old now. I remember when it first came out and it was sensational! Its one of the best games ever made and you sir are a moron for thinking it could possibly compete graphically with todays games. If you dont know what your talking about dont talk about it, simple as that! Also learn how to spell because im sick and tired of reading people who blog with spelling errors left right and centre.

BTW I am aware of my many spelling mistakes in the above post so instead of complaining that there is no edit button Ill simply pretend it was a clever jibe at your post :P
